Boy’s Bathroom Makeover

The Challenge

This kid’s bathroom was not only outdated but also falling apart, literally. The fixtures were loose and storage was minimal. The goal: to create a fun, functional space that could stand up to daily use while adding a splash of wonder and color.

The Design Solution

We started fresh, removing everything (the tub, shower, vanity, sink, and light fixtures) and reimagining the space with a focus on durability, easy maintenance, and playful design elements. The result is a bathroom that is both practical and full of character—perfect for active kids.

Subway Tile Shower: A new tub with white subway tile surrounds the shower for a clean, classic look. The subway tile extends past the toilet, offering a practical solution for easy cleanup.
Double-Sink Vanity with Storage: We added a double-sink vanity with plenty of drawers, ensuring there is enough room for all the essentials and keeping the countertops clutter-free.
Updated Medicine Cabinets: New medicine cabinets with mirrors provide extra storage and help keep everything organized, from toothbrushes to bath toys.
Fun, Modern Lighting: The outdated fixtures were replaced with LED globe lighting, adding a touch of whimsy while providing plenty of light.
Wallpaper: To incorporate some pattern and color, we installed a playful wallpaper, transforming the bathroom into a bright, cheerful space.
Black Fixtures: Durable plumbing fixtures in a black finish were chosen not only for their modern look but also to hide tiny handprints, an essential feature for a kid-friendly bathroom.

The Result

This new bathroom is a stylish, functional space that both kids and parents love. A cheerful spot, it is the first thing you see when you walk up the stairs. The combination of durable materials, ample storage, and playful design elements makes it as practical as it is fun.
